In Australia, with its spectacular beaches, observant Muslim women have felt out of place in their burkas and robes. But now a Muslim dressmaker has created a costume that permits Muslims to go swimming and still stay modestly covered up. The designer has sold 9,000 of the outfits for up to $160 a piece. They are called, of course, burkinis.
